Food Pantry “Food of the Month”-
In order to make clear the specific needs of the Food Pantry, and to make it easier for the congregation to fulfill for those needs, a new program has been created called the “Food of the Month”.
Each month we’ll be requesting a certain food item from those that are included in each bag that’s distributed. The third Sunday of each month is designated as “Food Pantry Sunday”, however, your donations can be brought in on any Sunday and placed in the baskets at either entrance to the church building. The designated food item for October is Peanut Butter and Jelly.
We hope this makes it easier for you to think of the Food Pantry when you’re doing your weekly shopping. Of course, all non-perishable food items are graciously accepted and distributed and your monetary donations are still needed. For a list of items distributed in each food bag, see a Food Pantry volunteer or Liz in the church office.
